Australian Chamber Orchestra - Soloists Tickets![]() Hear why the Australian Chamber Orchestra is known as an orchestra of soloists as the Principals introduce you to a few of their favourite pieces, including a reprisal of their ARIA Award-winning performance of the Bach Violin and Oboe Concerto. Principal Viola Christopher Moore performs Britten’s Lachrymae, “a hauntingly beautiful piece that explores everything the viola has to offer”. Britten reflects on Dowland’s song Flow My Tears, shifting between Elizabethan and 20th century sound worlds. Matthew Hindson, known for delivering high-octane exhilaration, is rapidly becoming Australia’s most successful young composer internationally. He’s writing a new work for Principal Double Bass Maxime Bibeau. When you hear the luscious music of Schreker, one of the most popular composers of the early 20th century, you’ll wonder why you haven’t heard more of him.
