Ojos de Brujo Tickets

Dramatic and rhythmic, Ojos de Brujo present an inimitable sound forged from a genre-bending mix of Catalan rumba, flamenco solea and bulerias, urban Afro-Cuban percussion, hip hop, funk and jazz.

Led by flamboyant gypsy-punk vocalist Marina “La Canillas” Abad, the 11-piece dig deep into funk vamps, ska and reggae beats, Indian tabla drumming, hard rock riffs, turntablism and live beatboxing.

Spanish guitars are layered over scratching, and the lyrics switch deftly between traditional flamenco dialects and conscious-message Spanglish hip-hop.

Ojos de Brujo bring their stunning live show to Australia for the first time in 2010, importing an 11 piece band, wild flamenco dancers, video art and Ojos de Brujo’s unmistakable brand of Barcelonan exuberance.
