Australia's own Chris Guccione impressing and inspiring the stadium crowd in the men's final against Dmitry Tursunov.

The rise of Frenchman Jo Wilfred Tsonga as he fought his way to win the men's doubles title (with Richard Gasquet) before advancing to the Australian Open singles final. These were just some of the players to strut the stage that is Sydney's largest and oldest International sporting event.

While the international stars battle it out in Sydney’s heat at Sydney Olympic Park, the precinct will feature a host of activities and entertainment by day and by night including roving entertainers, Fanfest with interactive games, Kids Zone, Speed Serve, Doubles Trouble, Autograph Island for in person player autographs, sounds of Latin and Jazz in the Coopers bar, a large outdoor screen featuring all the action on centre court, and free evening family concerts.
